1.7 Excessive load on the evaporator (above design)

Probable Cause:

•    A TEV is restricted to the amount of flow it can pass, by the size of its orifice. Therefore, if the load increases above the design limits, high superheat will result.


•    Use a balance-ported TEV sized for the maximum load conditions. These valves can modulate down to 20% of their normal rating.
