Job Opening: Marine Refrigeration Engineer
We're currently recruiting for a Marine Refrigeration Engineer here at Tradewinds Engineering Ltd.

- Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum, with enhanced rate for work carried out outside of the UK

Due to the expansion of our Engineering department an opportunity has arisen for a Marine Refrigeration Engineer to join our Marine HVACR Engineering company based near Taunton in Somerset.
You will predominantly be working on projects in the Superyacht and Oil & Gas Installations industry worldwide. Between projects you will be required to assist the Project Manager at our Somerset based workshop.
You will be responsible for high quality installation, service, maintenance, commissioning and surveys of a wide variety of marine refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation systems. You will be based in our Taunton office supporting our Project Manager or teaching refrigeration and air conditioning to our clients.
You will be required to liaise directly with the customer/client to ensure work is carried out to their satisfaction and to identify any future potential business.
There will be a requirement to give detailed technical reports on work carried out and to correctly complete timesheets to enable invoices to be submitted with minimum delay. You will need to be a time served HVACR engineer, with strong electrical/mechanical competency, together with good communication skills and proven proficiency in safe handling of refrigerants and optimizing plant for maximum efficiency.
The role will require time away both in the UK and internationally, so please take this into consideration. This could be anything from a few days to several weeks at a time and, at times, may require travel at short notice.
You will be required to have strong chiller experience and the ability to troubleshoot all types of marine refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation systems. You may also be required to teach the principles of HVACR to clients in a variety of locations worldwide.

Qualifications Required (some may be obtained in-house):
- C&G2079/CITB Safe Handling of Refrigerants
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air conditioning
- Electrical qualifications

- IMIST
- Yellow Fever Vaccination
