The AR-050 explosion-safe evaporator/fan coil unit is designed for temperature control in Zone 1 hazardous areas. These are commonly used in chemical storage areas, battery charging rooms, enclosures containing flammable materials, and other industrial safety-critical spaces that must be explosion safe, where reliable temperature control is essential.

Each unit includes:

• Flameproof electric motor
• Explosion-safe fan with aluminum blades
• Anti-static mounting plate
• Room thermostat connected through an intrinsically safe circuit
• Dedicated junction box with power terminals and thermostat connection

The AR-050 is optimised for use with R513A, a non-toxic and non-flammable A1-class refrigerant. Other refrigerants are available on request.

The unit is equipped with coils made from inner-grooved copper tubing combined with aluminium fins, reducing refrigerant volume while improving heat transfer performance.

A Zone 2 or standard non atex outdoor condenser unit is available for full system integration. This includes:

• A control box with built-in safety features
• Barriers for the intrinsically safe circuits connected to the AR-050
